All righty then!
Hello, you who has wandered and wondered far until you reached this page. Welcome to my world. Please, do take a seat, and I will try to make this enjoyable.
So I spent a bit of time yesterday and today putting together a bunch of artists I really enjoy in my watchlist. But since art is forever changing and new artists come in everyday with new and incredible talent, it is still very,
very incomplete. But don't you worry, I will update it quite frequently.
For now, I thought I would tell you about
the things I like. That way, if you ever come across something that could interest me, you could always give me a link

.

First of all, I prefer people who draw things to people who take pictures. Not always, but mostly. That being because artists to me seem a lot more resourceful than photographers. Their galleries are nice to come by and see, but when you watch them you come to realize the colour scales/themes/poses/lightings are always a bit similar, and then it gets boring. An example of someone who takes beautiful pictures but unfortunately falls under that category would have to be

. Gorgeous stuff, but repetitive.
So then, I like drawings more.

Heroic fantasy inspired ones would have to be at the top of that list too. Like the things you can see on miss

's gallery. On top of drawing beautifully, she has some amazing imagination. And she looks fun

I also enjoy looking at traditional pieces by anime artists. Not anime in general, just those fantastic works done with pen, coloured pencil, copic marker, watercolour and so on. Stuff like what

uploads, and quite frequently too. She deserves a lot more credit than she is given. Go give her a nice comment, pretty please...

Then, there are those people who can draw comic book style characters. You know, the ones with the very shiny suits and awesome superpowers. I admire people who can do that. Like :iconPaul-Renaud:. He rocks. And he isn't the only one.
The list goes on! But I feel a bit too lazy right now to put everything in as much detail as I've been doing. So. Other things I like. And then we will talk about what I do not like. Because yep, there are things I don't like.

Harry Potter Fanfiction (when very well done). Yep. And I'm not hiding it. Keep them Ginnies coming!!
Real cool OCs, like

has. But this guy in general too. Just look at his way of drawing that's so messy but so perfect at the same time!

Funny comics with little stick figures. Go check
[link] mwahaha

Funny comics with chibi characters. Not the same. Go ask

if you don't believe me. I believe myself anyways.

Rainbow stuff. Like what

does.

Macabre drawings. For that I go and see

too. Gotta love her.

Very simple pencil drawings from people who aren't overly famous out here but don't care. I love a drawing that isn't perfect.

Short stories about trashy love stories, death, dying (not the same), growing up... Those things that make you a bit uncomfortable I guess.
All right. Let's just say I'm done for now, as this list could just go on and on and on forever!
Things I do not like out here (I'll keep this one shorter, because you guys don't really give a damn about that anyways)

Manga/anime drawings: although there are some I
do find nice, I'm not a huge fan. It just looks all the same to me, and if you can't master the eye of anime girl eyes and hair, than you shouldn't bother drawing them at all. Plus, most people use such common colours it's no fun anymore. Pink hair is so last season honey.

Poetry. Well, most poetry anyway. I just don't get rhymes... But some things do sound nice though.

People who draw something incredibly beautiful, with perfect proportions, shadowing, colouring etc, and SRCAP it. Gawd T_T

Scanners. I'm sure those things kill half of the things we see out there. I wish there was a way to just show your stuff the way you did it, not the way your scanner saw it (most of the time, they steal colour. Evil)

People who complain all the time. "Boohoo I've got stuff to do T_T" Terribly sorry to say, you would be doing it faster if you hadn't come here to whine.

Galleries containing thousands of pictures of the artist's cat or dog. One should be enough. Now, show me real art.

Uninteresting comments such as "cute.", or even

. I encourage constructive criticism, and that sort of stuff is usually a lot more useful to an artist.
And so on and so fourth. Let's not talk about me anymore for today, shall we?
I love you all, keep on dreaming, drawing, painting, wacom tableting...
Until next time,
Steeve!
